Airside Operations is responsible for many complex and vital tasks on
the runways, taxiways, aprons and an eight mile perimeter outside the airport fences, which
hundreds of aircrafts rely on in order to take off, land and taxi safely at Changi Airport. These
include allocation of aircraft stands and baggage claim belts, inspecting the runways and aprons to
ensure they are clean and free from hazards, monitoring wildlife activities and noise levels,
controlling obstacles, inspecting facilities and auditing ground handlers and refuellers.
